CROSSCLAVE SECURE MESSAGING APP BY SPIDEROAK

SpiderOak is a company that focuses on enterprise security for small to mid-sized businesses offering products like secure communication and collaboration with instant messaging and forensically secure log data. 

CrossClave is a secure messaging app that allows for safe communication and collaboration within organizations that have high-security needs for sharing files and chatting with any team member.

CHALLENGES: 

CrossClave’s main feature is secure communication and collaboration. This gives organizations that work with sensitive information the advantage of sharing critical information. My task was to redesign the chat screen view and assist with the file share functionality, and onboarding system by creating a fully functional secure collaborative messaging app for organizations.

PROCESS:

I was recruited by a fellow former internship coworker. He needed a team that would help develop the messaging app main capabilities. The focus was to design for desktop and mobile as a secondary option. I worked closely with the UX/UI director by providing wireframes, mockups, and prototypes of each interaction and design layout. I also worked with engineers to ensure their programming was to specifications as well as guidance on accessibility.

My role also included some problem-solving on the onboarding and getting started section of the app. As well as designing and providing screen mockups for use on the Google Store app download platform.

During my time there, I assisted in building a style guide with components and documentation for both the design and engineering organizations
to use.
